Monarch Wing Equestrian Fun Facts

Shocker does not like apples and his favorite snack is carrots.

Stormy is trained to pull a cart (although a little out of practice since the move)

We purchased our farm in October 2021, effectively fulfilling a lifelong dream.

Monarch is very good at wearing hats.

Blitz is our tallest horse at 16hh.

Stormy is our shortest at 9hh (36 inches) which is the limit for registered Miniature Horses. She’s more of a maxi than a mini.

Monarch loves dandelions, apples, carrots, grass, etc. etc. etc. She likes food.

When Monarch rolls, she only rolls on her left side. In the past 8 years, we have seen her roll over maybe twice.

Monarch has the thickest tail of the group (and the prettiest).

Stormy has difficulty shedding during the summer and has to be clipped eventually.

Sam prefers to ride English and is looking to get into dressage and jumping.

Blitz used to be a jumper in his youth.

Shocker was a lesson pony for many years.

Monarch was a lesson horse for a few years. We pulled her out of the program due to her being extremely unhappy.

Sam used to collect Breyer horses when she was younger but still has a few favorites left.

Monarch is very sensitive to flies and will throw temper tantrums without proper protection.

Monarch loves cats and will boop them whenever the opportunity presents iteself.
